Hi All,

New owner of a CPO A4 2.0T QUATTRO. Just over 6k miles on it when purchased and I have driven about 800. Noticed that after first 3 tanks or so I am averaging only 19-20 mpg (280-310 per tank) in 50/50 city/highway driving. This seems low to me. I drove a diesel Passat prior and averaged about 35-36ish over the course of a year (just mentioning to show city vs. highway). I am a bit worried. I have heard/read that after 1-2k miles of driving that it will improve/adjust to driving habits, etc. Not sure how true that is?? I've checked my tire pressure and all is good. Don't know a ton about cars ESP the technical specs. First time owning an Audi. Any thoughts/experiences/opinions/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

That mpg is more similar to my A6 than the newer A4. First, the computer tends to be over-optimistic by 1-2 mpg; not what you wanted to hear. I recently took a quick 3000 mile rt from MI to FL and averaged a calculated 30.8 mpg driving 70-80 mph. Around town, the computer indicates 24-25. I do have a stick and tend to upshift asap and drive it relatively gently.
