Default 4G iPod Nano issues

I have a 09 A4 with the iPod MMI. I've been experiencing issues with my ipod not initializing with the MMI sometimes. The ipod has to be soft reset in order to reconnect to the MMI. This doesn't happen all of the time; sometimes it's fine, other times it just hangs. My ipod is running 1.03fw version and I have the mmi cable with the blue connector. Anyone have any idea what might be causing the unit to freeze?

BTW, this same thing happens with my 3G nano running 1.12 and 1.13 firmware...

Thanks,
Bill

Depends if you have NAV or not, with NAV you should have black cable:

Otherwise I would replace the cable with dealer. There was a bad batch recently I was told.

It doesn't have navi. They originally gave me the black cable and it didn't work at all. They swapped it out for the blue one it's REALLY aggravating, I never know if it's going to work or not....I'm always getting into the glove box to disconnect and do a soft reset on the ipod, and then it may work fine for a day or two....

I'll give the dealer a call to see if they will swap my cable out again.

Thanks,
Bill
