Hey guys,

Late night trip home last night and I was driving through the aftermath of a snow/ice storm that produced black ice for a good 40km on the highway. The car was very twitchy and I couldn't comfortably remain in control at more than 50km/h - the car would quickly dart back and forth about 5-8inches in either direction.

I was getting passed by lesser vehicles (mainly FWD and minivans). haha. They looked very well planted while passing me.

I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this with the quattros?

 

Must be your tires. Quattro only functions well with good tires!

 

I've got 1 season old Michelin Primacy Alpins 225/55r16 on OEM audi winter wheels.

I've driven 2wd pickup trucks that were more confidence inspiring than the audi that night - very odd experience

 

Maybe because you were driving on black ice?
