Hey Duran, I am leasing my car also and plan on putting in a chip and maybe a few other mods. In my dealership in New York they have a performance section in the dealership that does the mods. I have spoke with them and they assure me that the mods they do are actually still covered under the manufacture warranty. I also will look into buying the car after the lease depending on how i like it and how much work i put into it. I still have to wait till late march to get the car

Most mild mods will not affect you when you turn the lease in. If you have "acceptable" exhaust work, not too dark tint, stereo upgrades that don't eat into trunk space, suspension drops that don't leave you scraping every speed bump, etc, etc you should be fine. Most lease turn ins are a simple walk around/test drive to make sure you haven't damaged the vehicle and that it is in at least "market average" condition. With that said, I would keep the stock wheels, exhaust, stereo etc and replace those prior to turn in, for future use or ebay...

Are you getting the stock chip reflashed or gettinig a new chip? If a new chip, just keep to old for reinstall. If reflash, wouldn't worry about it. One thing to keep in mind with the ECU chips, is not to let the dealer do any ECU software updates as they will generally reflash over all the hot settings of you performance chip.

I'd imagine a reflash, and other mild, reversible modifications are ok.

I've never had a lease car myself, and if I did, I think I'd be reluctant to modify it, however mildly.

I'm pretty sure you can mode it as long as you can reverse the process before you return the car.

If they are actually Audi parts, it may make a difference...but ask your service writer to be sure.
