Dislikes with 2009 A4

my list of '09 problem areas
1) handling w/o sports suspension or Drive Select is not as good as my 10yr old A4
2) The new roof rails have no apparent support in the after market after several years on the A3 and Q7.
3) The oversized sunroof with just a translucent curtain is nuts for California (required in the A4 Avant)
4) No M&S tires if you get sports suspension? Nuts for the Sierras.
5) Steering way to soft--no more Audi "goes where you point it" road feel.
If not for these, I'd have already bought a Prem. Plus. Avant. I walked out and started letting the wife look at a Camry Hybrid instead. With these warts, why not at least feel good about the environment?

I have been in my car for a little less than a month now. My only complaint is that I think the side view mirrors are HUGE! I mean, I got use to it and I don't really care anymore but dang, they are like elephant ears.
Also, during my first 1k miles or so, I was getting AWFUL gas mileage. Like 200 miles to a tank, but I suppose this is expected due to break in and what not. I am at about 1300 now (dealer put on 300 to drive it from Cincinnati to Pittsburgh, blah) and am showing about 55 miles to empty with about 265 on my trip odo, so much much better. Anyone else experiencing the same thing?
Other than that no real complaints. I haven't had a chance to take it out and tear up some back roads yet but handling seems to be pretty good, but I still think Audi has a little more work to do to match the feel of a BMW. Although I have some moments of regret of not saying F-it and spending an extra 7-8k for the 335, its rare and am quite happy with the A4.

200 miles to the tank? yikes.. i noticed i was getting pretty bad gas mileage in the beginning but it was at 300 miles to the tank... now i get 400 miles to the tank (and 460 or so on the freeway). Btw I noticed you get better gas mileage in manual mode than in "D" mode .. the gear changes are set all wrong i think in "D" mode.. at least for how i drive..
