Default Exhaust Tips

I bought exhaust tips from audi today and the guy at parts volunteered to put it on for me. I didnt notice until I got home that he put them on wrong. The beveled part should be at the top of the tips but they are on the side. I live 45 minutes away and was wondering if anyone knows how to take them off. I tried everything but they dont budge. Does anyone know?

Most are removable/installable by simple hand tools. Look for bolt on the base of the exhaust tip where it meets the exhaust. If you do find it, it will most likely be a Alan wrench type of bolt.
Hope I helped, good luck!

That's probably a good point for people having trouble installing them. If you pick them up, take em home and you're all excited to slide them on but have trouble, it could be you need to wait an hour or so for your tailpipes to cool and contract slightly as these would be form-fitting.

Is the exhaust stainless or galvanised coated? If it is only coated, you may have rust issues from the sharp "teeth" scratching off the protective coating. Guess I won't be taking mine on and off to clean if there are possible issues.

the tips are supposed to be installed at an angle, ie the part of the tip that protrudes the most is at around the 1:30 position.
