First B8 Manual in WA?
Again, not sure where you are getting your information, as when I was ordering my car, my dealer located for me several models of 6MT with different trim packages; true, the one I ended up buying was a Quartz Gray Prestige, but two of the other models my dealer located were Premium Plus 6MT (one with S-line, the other with only Nav). I'm sure the Premium 6MTs exist, also, however I explicitly asked only for information on Premium Plus or Prestige when they were doing their search.
I take little stock in what a salesmen tells me. Oftentimes they have no clue and are just talking out of their rears. My salesman swore up and down the river that there was no such thing as a manual A4, and yet I was able to get one.
I believe in facts, cold hard facts. And when I finally had a dealer printout of 4 vehicles complete with their options and their VIN numbers sitting in front of me, all clearly stating that the transmission was 6MT, that sounds to me like a cold hard fact.

Good to know. Thanks for the clarification tighr.
I got a 2009 Premium 6MT 2.0 in May here in Houston. I looked at every A4 on the lots of the three dealerships in Houston. There were only two 6MT cars out of all of them. I must have looked at over 100 cars.
It's not the best manual transmission I've ever had. My S2000, Cayman, and two 911s were far better, with the S2000 being the best of any car I've ever driven. I swear the A4 seems a little faster on 0-20 than my '09 911S. Maybe it's just my imagination.
The transmission is better than the manual I had in an '06 Lexus IS 250. In fact I can't think of one thing about the Lexus that was better than the Audi.
I have the same problem with not realising how fast I'm going. The motor is way too quiet in these cars. I need more feedback than it's giving me. Also, the speedo and tach should not have the "0" at the bottom of the gauge. It makes it seem like you're not moving the needle much.
