Default Fist Audi purchase, could use some insight

Hello all,

I'm new to all of this. I've never owned a car that I've liked, and I've finally got a good, steady job and am about to be credit card debt free.

I currently own a '07 Trailblazer with 62k miles on it. I still owe about 6500 on it, and the places I've gone to look at a trade in have offered my 7k.

This is the exact car I'm looking at:
2011 Used Audi A4 2.0T at Auto Express Lafayette, IN, IID 9671189

As far as I can tell, it's an outstanding deal. I was originally planning on buying my new car in mid to late March, but saw this deal and didn't want to let it pass. I'd love it if you guys could let me know what you think.

A few questions I also have about the car:
1) I didn't find an auxiliary input. I cannot imagine this car not having one, and it's really important that I can hook up my iPod to it.
2) Is Navigation something I can get installed?
3) Any general advice/warnings?

Thanks so much!

The things that stick out to me:
- it's front-wheel drive, not Quattro. Lots of people buy audis for the Quattro and your area seems to get some snow, so be aware if this.
- it looks like it was rented out of ca - make sure it doesn't have summer tires or try and get then swapped (unless you want them for some reason)
- it's a rental car sale. Usually that means good maintenance, but be sure to look the car over closely and test drive it of course.
- looks like it's only about $450 below blue book retail, so you might be able to get a bit more knocked off.

Default Quattro

Hi Jlee203,

I recently got rid of my A4 and one of the reasons was the CVT transmission. I would strongly advise you to get the Quattro with the 8speed. The CVT is not as fun to drive and it is very hard to get used to. Also, check the Carfax and see if this car has been to the dealer for Oil Consumption. If you can a find a Quattro without an oil consumption problem, I'd say go for it. It's a really nice car!! Also, get the Bang & Olufsen system - awesome sound. The Nav is one of the best I've ever seen.

Highly recommend you consider getting an A4 with Quattro and a manual transmission. It makes the car a true sport sedan.

Default AWD is the way to go

you need to rember owning a Audi is a huge step up from a Trail Blazer they require alittle more care than a Blazer...alittle more $$$$ for maintance

do not and i mean DO NOT, get a CVT front trak ( FWD) Audi.

make sure whatever audi you get is quattro..
1. sure CVT is cheaper upfront, but go to a dealer and get a cvt transmission fluid replacement quoted... its not cheap.. and tey are every 40k miles

2. yes the B&O sound system is amazing!!!

3. audi does not do any aux plugs because in your glove box should be a direct connection for your ipod, iof its not there and you have a 6 cd changed you can remove the cd changer and install a ipod adapter box i want to say they are a little under $300 for the part.. and its not hard to install you just need the radio keys to remove the cd changer!!

4. DO NTO BY A NON QUATTRO AUDI!!!
