If you're leaning towards the new grille option, I have an OEM gloss black grille that I was going to slap on my 2009 A4 avant but havent had the time to. It cost me $350 but I'd let it go for $300. It's the entire front grille, badge and all, but does not include foggie surrounds. PM me if youre interested

 

Can someone tell me if the B7 & B8 grills are the same, in other words interchangeable?
I know the A4 sedan became the B8 for US model year '09 but the convertible did not change to the new style so I would assume its a B7. I need a license plate bracket for an '09 A4 convertible S-line. Dealer says its "stone" grey not "platinum" grey. But will a bracket from an '09 or '10 sedan (B8) fit an '09 convertible (B7)? thanks!

 

Unfortunately no - the B8 is an entirely new platform and nothing interchanges when it comes to body parts.

 

I think they will fit.

I lucked out, when I purchased the car it was slated for ON, which requires a front plate. Here in QC, we only have back plates... thank god. They ordered the replacement insert for me and there it was, glossy black, perfect match for my car. Also added the chrome strips that fit into the slots...(160$ from the stealership) dont know why they are not there from factory. Its a great look, slight change that makes a big difference. Had I not got it by fluke, I would have happily spent the 90$, well worth it.
