Default How to Utilize Pandora in 2010 A4 Premium

I have 2010 A4 Premium with Bluetooth and Ipod options. I am trying to connect to Pandora through Bluetooth from my Blackberry phone device. I have enabled bluetooth on my Pandora app, but it doesn't seem to connect to the car bluetooth. Can anyone give any suggestions? Thanks!

Default No A2DP

I'm pretty sure that the MMI doesn't support streaming music over bluetooth. This requires a different bluetooth protocol (A2DP) which the Audi MMI 3G doesn't support.

And I don't think you can use 3rd party apps to play music while connected to the iPod connector. So, I'm fairly certain that you won't be able to stream Pandora from your phone to the car.

Do some searching around on the forums (here and audiworld). There's an Audi made Bluetooth adapter your can get which plugs into the AMI in your glovebox which should allow A2DP streaming (the protocol to stream music over bluetooth).

Alternately they also make a traditional headphone jack adapter for the AMI. But then you'd have a cable coming out of the glovebox.

We discussed the A2DP Bluetooth adapter in this thread: https://www.audiforums.com/forum/b8-...-audio-166454/

The Audi bluetooth phone does not have the A2DP profile, so it requires an additional bluetooth radio which replaces your iPod interface. You cannot use more than one AMI interface at once, so you'll be limited to either the iPod or Pandora via bluetooth.

I have tried the head phone jack option. It works pretty well, the only real pitfall is the phone thinks you have ear phones plugged in and if you get a call it goes through the system that way instead of the Bluetooth. Part # is 4f0 051 510c I got it off ebay for like $20.

Good Luck

I use the viseeousa WMA3000 model in my AUDI, this an A2DP bluetooth. I can play music wirelessly and can browse, skip and control music using steering wheel controls. Very convenient device for me because I don't have to plug my iPhone every time I am in the car, it automatically connects my phone. I can recommend this.
