Default itching for mods

http://www.raimotorsport.com/R-A-I-M...4-testpipe.htm

for those of you that cant leave good enough alone, we made this test pipe/hfc. Besides a chip this is the best bang for you buck. Quality is unmatched vs the other offerings. In either form, test pipe or high flow cat, you will not throw a cel!

test pipes don't free up any power unless the engine is quite modded. on a stock 2.0T, it won't make any difference. i've seen some dyno tests. do you have any dyno comparisons to back your claim?

my neighbor has a test pipe on his heavily modded POS. the noise and smell it creates makes him a genuine *****.

Maybe something else is making you itch, like bedbugs. I hear they are in season...

your waay off, on turbo cars removing back pressure makes a world of difference. We make test pipes for b5, b6, b7, and b8 and the results are proven over and over again. I would like to post dynos but so far we always have cars with other mods. I want dynos that show only the test pipe in action. We have had cars from other a4 generations with just a test pipe and no other mods, these cars put down up to 20 whp more on a mustang dyno.

me too. i hear the new cats (b7/8) have next to no restriction on stock setup.

by the way, on every dyno curve i've seen for the 2.0T, why does the power dip at the higher RPMs? there's a restriction somewhere. when i modded and tuned my old mustang, the power curve was a diagonal line going up until the rev limit. it didn't dip. that old curve was from a mustang dyno too. i'd like to know what mods could keep the higher rpm HP from dipping.

unitronic software is known for keeping power through the rev range, but with the small k03 even their wizardry can help only so much. The best way to keep power up top is to upgrade to a larger turbo. Also i dont know where you "heard" about no restriction, but that is very false, a catalyst only works by causing a restriction, if anything i am willing to bet that newer car cats are worst then older models because of stricter emission standards.
