Default Looking to buy A4

I am going to be looking and possibly buying my first Audi tomorrow. It is a quattro premium. What should I look out for and thing , such as any signs of awd issues or engine oil comsumption??

Also, Is the oil consumption problem really that widespread?
Thanks for your help in advance.

I think that new A4 has decent fuel economy, but it depends on engine option...

I bought a used Premium+ and it has been a great car, albeit only had it for about 8.5k now. Initially it did not seem to use any oil, but I did end up putting ina total of 1.5 qts in over the first 8k. I was also told to change the oil every 5-6k versus the 8k interval I had used for my 2.7T. From what I have read on the forum, the oil consumption problem seems to be most severe in the 2008-2010 models, not so much in the 2011s, and resolved by the 2012s. Unless you have service records that indicate oil changes and additions, make sure the oil is topped off and then take it for a 100 mile test drive. It's not definitive, but if it has severe oil consumption you will see it drop even in that short distance.

I drive it gently and with the manual and 2.0T I am seeing 24-25mpg around town and 28-31 on the highway (~75 mph).
