MMI and SD mp3 playing clips song endings - 2013
Let me know if this is the wrong place. I loaded mp3 songs into my 2013 MMI Jukebox and started noticing right away that several songs will have their ends (anywhere from say 1-30 seconds) cut off, and the player moves to the next song. When I played the mp3 directly from the source SD card, the same thing happens, apparently at the same time. When I play the file on a laptop it plays out fine -- on a couple different laptops and using a couple different mp3 players.
I can't find anything like this online -- maybe I'm searching the wrong terms, but it's a pretty aggravating problem and seems to be happening on 25-50% of my files. It also seems as much as I can tell to affect entire folders: if this happens on one file in an Artist or Album folder, I think it happens to them all.
Any solutions or advice?

Sort of ... that particular problem I eventually traced back to mp3 files in my music library that were created from CDs I'd ripped. Downloading new mp3 files would usually fix the problem.
A word of warning, the Jukebox software isn't very good. There are never-ending issues with files not being indexed properly, file tags not being read, album artwork not being displayed, incorrect song length displayed, files not importing from SD card although they can be played directly from the SD card, etc. etc. etc. I've never found any help online, or even many complaints. I don't know if the Jukebox isn't used much, or if most people only load files from iTunes, but for someone with a large personal collection of mp3s from various sources it can be a real pain if you try to get everything in order. I made peace with it -- at least it usually plays the file.
Hope that helps. Cheers.

Thanks cobas for the fast reply. An interesting detail in my circumstance is the mp3's played from an SD card (source of the Jukebox mp3's) play well. I'm beginning to see your point about Jukebox software not being very good. A simple thing like random play of all files from all subdir's seems to be a difficult concept for Jukebox... or maybe I haven't figured it out. -SFB

Problem solved, module 5F replaced
Rector Motor Car in Burlingame CA had the car for a few days and solved the problem by replacing "module 5F with updated 8R1 035 746 E" and updating software provided by Audi. I don't know the cost as it was covered under warranty. TSB#2030465/6 was referenced on the invoice/work order.

I recently purchased a 2014 A6. It has a Jukebox but I haven't been able to load any content. I have tried w/ CD's, an iphon 4 that I am using as a music player and my iphone 5 via bluetooth. Whenever I invoke the import button it shows no connected media. I can play each of these sources but not import to jukebox.
