Default New 2013 A4 Owner Review and Experience

I just discovered this forum and joined so I could be a part of the discussion. I picked my first Audi last fall. Its a Premium 2013 A4 TFSI 2.0 Quattro in Moonlight Blue. I got the convenience and lighting package, heated front seats, all weather mats, polished exhaust tips and black leather interior.

The quality of the interior feels really high. Like most other reviews state, there isn't a single creak or noise out of this car, ever. It feels like every inch of the car is made out of very expensive high quality materials.

Its an absolute joy to drive. It handles unlike any car I have ever driven before. The pick up is fast and I never feel like its struggling to keep up when I step the gas. The quattro, oh man the quattro... long curved roads are my new best friend.

I am very happy over all. However, I did not get the nav (it is not an option with the premium package). This is perhaps the one regret I have so far. The basic MMI feels very dated and cheap. At the time of purchase my thought process was that I already spend a lot of money on an iPhone and its LTE and hotspot connection, why duplicate that cost in my car for tech that will be out of date within 2 years? Maybe thats just my way of justifying my regret. Oh well. Does anyone else here have just the basic MMI? Was this a silly decision? It did save me around $4,000...

I looked into BMW and Mercedes as well. The BMW 328i is a bit faster and perhaps even more technologically advanced but was more costly without even standard leather IIRC. A nice car for sure, but not an Audi. The Mercedes C class feels like a cheap version of their old man cars. Long story short, the A4 is a ridiculously awesome vehicle. I have no regrets about choosing Audi.

You're not missing a thing! I have a Premium Plus without Nav and it was recently in the shop. My loaner car was a brand new 2013 PP+ loaded with every conceivable option.....it was a beautiful car, but I found the controls for the radio difficult to use when they are located on the back of the transmission. When I got my car back, it seemed so much easier. In addition, a 99.00 Garmin will provide you with just as much or more navigation information vs the Audi system which costs a lot and then soaks you when you order updated maps. Even my Audi salesman told me it was a waste of money!
