New Audi's and pricing/discounts
How much can one typically get off MSRP these days w/ Audi? Last time I purchased I think I got about 1500 off (not great but better than a stick in the eye). Anything close to the BMW discounts? What is Audi's margin typically (how far apart is invoice and MSRP)? Thinking about getting an Avant (A4) or maybe even waiting for the allroad.

You can go to a site such as edmunds.com or use something like Consumer Reports New Car service where they'll tell you "invoice" cost and, sometimes, what "dealer spiffs" are available. I checked out Edmunds and for the 2012 A4 Avant (no longer in production and stock seems to be thin), the MSRP is $36,400 with the Invoice quoted as $33,852 with a destination fee, for my area, of $875 (!).
Edmunds says that the "true market value", what most people are paying, is $35,782. This is for the "Premium" trim with no options.
I am waiting for the Allroad.
