Default Reputable indie shop in Jacksonville FL ??

Folks, my daughter is in college in Jacksonville FL and her 2003 A4 3.0 needs an oil change. First reference was $155 which is ridiculous. Can anyone suggest a reputable indie shop that will use a Mann filter and full syn and not require my right arm in payment??

I ended up taking it to the Jacksonville Audi dealer and they did a nice job for a $140 oil change (about $50 more than my indie in SW Mi charges). But they had lots of interesting new Audis to look at on their lot, good "free" coffee and snacks, and a "free" car wash and tire shine at the end. They also inspected the car. All is good for another 6k miles.

I was hoping you would have some good responses to this. I needed to get my oil changed for my 2011 A4 and looked around at places. New to the area so I didn't know any place, thought about taking it to EuroSpec, Inc. | Auto Repair Jacksonville FL | Engine Repair 32256 | Brake Repair Jacksonville FL | Transmission Repair 32256 | Auto Electrical Service Jacksonville FL, but wasn't sure. Went to a couple of express lubes, they said they couldn't do it. The Jiffy Lube on Baymeadows said they didn't have the filter but if I brought my own in, they would use it, credit me $20 towards the change. So that is what I ended up doing. It was $69 for the change which was full synthetic. I had a coupon.

Now I need to have my brakes looked at... not sure where to take it. I am going to look around on the site to see about doing it myself.

Brakes are not that difficult, or so I have been told. I used to do them on my vehicles, but it's just easier to have the heavy work done by a shop. I prefer to detail...which allows me to enjoy a G&T and a cigar at the same time. If you are replacing pads, you have to measure the brake disks to ensure there is enough metal remaining. They can be turned if there is enough and they are grooved, although it is not recommended. I had it done on both my A6 and this A4 without any ill effects.
