Does anyone else notice the really loud humming sound that seems to be coming from the roof lining when driving with the sunroof open? It gets louder as you go faster. Is there something wrong with my car or is it a design flaw?

 

Are you opening up the sunroof all the way??? There are pre-determined setting on the dial to open the sunroof. I was informed by the dealer, if you turn the **** to open the sunroof more, it will make noises. And if you do open it all the way, you will need to have the rear windows open, otherwise the vacuum effect is really bad...

 

I know this post is pretty old but I had this same problem. According to the dealer, there were 2 different types of wind deflectors made for the '09 sunroof. I got stuck with the crappy one. They replaced the deflector and updated the computer and the problem went away ($300 later...) Good luck!

 

There was a TSB on the sunroof wind deflector. If your car is still under warrantee the replacement would be free.
