Default Tire size question.

I'm looking to put new rims on to my 2009 audi A4 I currently have the stock rims and tires. The tires that are in it now are 225 45 17. I want to put these rims on my car:

The thing is I think these rims have a smaller width then my stock rims and I don't know if I'm going to have to put on new tires. If I do have to, what width tire can I put on these rims(17x7.5) is the 225 45's within the limits of these rims?

And if I was to upgrade to the 18x8 rim would it rub? And what profile size should I run to keep the speed accurate? It's 225 profile now how far would I have to go down?

225 is the width. the profile is 45. the tires that you have now will fit on those wheels with no problems. however in my opinion i would go with the larger wheel and a lower profile tire, especially if you plan on changing tire sizes.

Thanks for the help. I'm not sure which way I'm going yet though.

Default tire size

go to powerdog.com/tiresize it is self explanatory you enter your factory tire size and the size you want to install and the calc will tell you if the diameter is the same or close.

Those rims won't fit your car. They are for B7s. Also stock B8 wheels, from my knowledge is 50 profile on the 17s, not 45. 225 45 17 tires will fit those rims, but those rims won't fit your car. Hope this helps.
