Hello all. I am having a tough time deciding between the 2009 audi A4 2.0T with the s-line package and the BMW 335 xi. I have had BMW's in the past but never owned a audi. I can get both cars for 650 a month on a lease with tax and title up front. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Happy new year.

Go for the Audi
Definitely go with the A4. I had a chance to drive both of them at Infineon a few months ago and the A4 beat the BMW in every aspect. This is just my opinion but, a lot of the people there agreed with me. Drive them both before you choose if you can.

just drove the 2009 a4 with s line
Just got home from test driving the 2009 a4 2.ot with the s line packag. have to say, i was very impressed! Coming from BMW which i always though drove excellent, the audi held on like it was on rails. although not nearly aspowerful as the 335i or even my old 330i it did have some GO to it. Plus, the audi with that new s line package looks very muscular. and the interior has the alacantra seats which is like a suede in the middle. At this point I think i might order the Audi over the BMW. by the way the audi is a quattro

If the 2.0t ins't powerful enough for you just have the car chipped. It usually costs about $600 and on that engine will add somewhere around 40 hp and 60 lb-ft. Don't quote me on those numbers but they are probably close. Check Awe-tuning.com or goapr.com they both sell chips for the 2.0t. I have purchased things from both companies and they are very good. I want the same car you are looking at for a daily driver but I already have a stage 3 b5 S4 so all my money goes into that.

Thanks 01SLOWs4. actualy, that is exactly my plan. I am going to try to order with the chip or have it done as soon as the car get into the dealership after i order. I hope it is a noticeable difference. I have to say, the a4 did handle very tight with that s line suspension

The A4 is cheaper, and the new 2.0T 211 HP engine is by no means slow. Is not as powerful as a 335i, but unless you really have the opportunity to race in a track or run in the highway (above speed limit??), for every day use, the A4 should be just fine. You can upgrade your chip later and run as hell, also!
