I OWN THE A6 MY2005 WITH THE M.M.I. .MY CAR HAS NO PHONE PREPARATION.IS IT POSSIBLE TO INSTALL A CAR KIT WHICH WILL MUTE RADIO/FEED AUDIO TROUGH RADIO SPEAKERS? CAN ANYBODY HELP ME.

NO IT ISNT. NOBODY SEEMS TO KNOW IF IT IS POSSIBLE TO INSTALL ONE.

 

Sorry, if your A6 came without Phone prep, then you can't incorporate an after market system that will mute the radio when you're on the phone. You can add an aftermarket hands free kit, but you will have to mute the radio manually.

Yes it is. You need to meet certain requirements to get your phone to work with it. It might still be only the Motorola V series that was customized for Audi. According to training materials, you should just be able to put the SIM card from your phone into the slot in the car and then be able to use your phone through your MMI. We tried this on a prtotype W12 A8L, but it wouldn't accept the SIM card from the Nokia game phone.

 

Belive me the 05 A6 has Bluetooth standard

 

IF the bluetooth is standard, how do you go about activating it. My car has telephone capability and has the cradle in the arm rest. I have a 2005 a6 audi. Trying to figure out what components I need to get the bluetooth working. Any ideas?
