I really like Audi's style but...
I am picking up my Audi tomorrow at the dealer. I purchased a pre-owned certified 06' A4 quattro sedan with less than 22K miles wise. I did a LOT of research on the reliability issues. To me, the tell all of reliability honesty is Consumer Reports. For A4s '06 and up the reliability greatly increases, according to Consumer Reports (CR) and CR gives Audi a recommend on the A3s and A4s. CR is definitely one of the more conservative judges when it comes to judging whether a vehicle is reliable or not and they don't just hand out recommendation ratings for the heck of it. Yes, it isn't a Toyota, my last vehicle was a 2002 Toyota Tacoma 4x4. Yet, I know a lot of people with a 100K plus on their Audis, this influenced me in my decision process. I see Audi as a fine piece of machinery that with proper judgement and care will treat you right for a long time to come.
nobody seemed to notice that they stated
"The survey gives all problems equal weight... the most frequent problem cited is wind noise, followed by noisy brakes, seat belts that fail to retract, poor ride handling and uneven wear on tires."
Those aren't much of a "problem" for me. When I think problems, I think bad transmission, engine issues, problems with electric gadgets on the interior and stuff like that... Not my tire going bald.

Yea noisy breaks and non-retracting seatbelts have jack **** to do with relability. And every car
that has staggered wheels and perfomance tires is going to have uneven wear. And how could
buick be in first if "poor handling" was a main complaint?

" ALL cars break...
manufacturers rely on this cause its where they make their money... cause its not in sales..."
This is so true. I have a friend who owns a Toyota dealership. Most of the money is made on the back end.

There is no reliability question here. Audi's are known for their quality german engineering, safety - they've won top safety pick for A3, A4 and 6 numerous times. My family has owned5 Audi's and I won't drive anything else. My friends think I'm nuts.
