Default Help on fitting of pollen filter on a 1995 Audi A6 2.6 V6 Non-Aircon

Hello, I'm new to this forum, I'm from the UK, and hoping could get some help from all you knowledgeable folks here. I just got my hands on a 1995 Audi A6 2.6 V6 (non aircon model). I am trying to find out if this car has a pollen filter on it - I've been reading up for the past couple of weeks on the net and also called up Audi near my place and so far got conflicting information. Also got the Haynes manual for it, where it appeaes to have a pollen filter but as the car didn't have an old one on it, I still can't figure out how the filter slots through. It is easier of the aircon models as lots of info on the net, but for the non-aircon '95 A6 info on the fitting of the filter is a bit sparse. Also, I can see the open end of the blower intake, and it's just a circular opening with a damper (or valve, whatever it's called) - I am not sure if there is supposed to be some part that sits between this opening and the filter panel (which according to the filter suppliers, is a rectangular filter measuring about 310mm x 30mm x 199mm). If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Cheers!
