Thoughts on chopping A4 frame between engine and battery for access
I have some bolts covered in JB weld that I can not get to on the back of my 2006 A4, 2.0 turbo motor that I need to remove.
Seems like it's between pulling motor or cutting out the panel between the engine and the battery for access. Just wanted to know what you guys think about using a thin disc to grind out the panel and then bolting or riveting it back in with some extra steel after the work is done.
Not sure exactly why that panel is there other than to really **** people off and make it impossible to work back there but I assume it has some structural reason and needs to be put back as good or better than before. Thought about welding it back in but bolting or riveting seems cleaner and like a much better idea in case I ever have to get back there again.
Any thoughts before I go ahead with it? Going to remove the battery and see if there's anything else in the way that I'm not remembering.
