That is the question. I'm a newbie and just got an '04 A8L. Oyster Gray with tan interior. I was hoping that someone might be able to show me what my car would look like with some medium or dark tint. I really appreciate any help! Let me know if this pic doesn't work. Thanks guys.

um I can't think f a picture anywhere but I will tell you right now, it'll look better with a tint. I personally would go with 20% unless you live where cops actually care about tints, then get 35% or something because anything lighter and you can't really tell it's tinted.

 

Thanks Colin! You're right...no doubt it would look better. I went to place that my Audi dealership recommended but they said they aren't able to do the rear window because of the angle and how the very bottom part butts against the rear dash. Willing to do the other windows; wasn't sold on that idea.

Anyone in the Atlanta area no any shops that have tinted A8's before? Thanks!!

Mate, that's because you live in New York. For us sled drivers here in Florida / Georgia, the Tint makes all the difference in heat!

Yeah, I'd tint it, you can do it down to the legal limit for Georgia, or darker if you want.... But you could run into problems with that. My A4 has 25 % in the front and 15% in the back, and I've had no problems. Also keep in mind that if it's too dark you won't be able to see out well at night.

Ask around, there are alot of good local shops out there. I've had Tint on my A4 for 3 years now, and it's still in perfect condition, and I had it done in the hood' and they did a great job.

 

 

It's hot and sunny where you live, tint for you and your interior's sake. I live in Washington for now, but if, or when I moved back to Texas I will get my ride tinted fo' sho'.
