What condition is it in? Fox's are pretty rare, and if in good condition they are very nice driving cars. You might want to check out DOG (Dasher Owners Group).

One problem I had w/my 78 Fox GTI was with the front strut housing. We use salt on the roads in northern Ohio, which I am sure hastened the problem. The front strut housing has a steering arm that is part of it (the outer tie rods bolt here). The underside rusted out until it went all the way through. The result was the same as if you had an outer tie rod fail- no steering!!! Luckily, I was in a parking lot whenmy fox had this failure.
