It is time to replace the timing belt in my trusty 4K. My question is the level of difficulty in replacing the belt if I had the appropriate tools. Has anyone changed one on a 4000 and if so can you give any pointers or recommendations. Thanks...

 

from my experience I would also plan on replacing the cam and crankshaft seals,idler pulleys,tensioner pulley and possibly the waterpump also. You should also be sure to have a good set of allen sockets on hand with metric increments and a metric tool set . Also closely inspect the crankshaft sprocket for cracks and the keyway journal for wear or damage replace accordingly good luck!
