Default 1989 Audi 200 alternator problems?

Anyone else have a tough time taking this thing off? I've tried all the tools at my disposal (not much, to be honest), and I can't get the f****** thing off. I finally got my hands on a ratcheting wrench, and hopefully that works, because there's not enough clearance for a socket wrench. Well, anyone who has tried this knows what I'm talking about. For those who haven't, the basic issue is that once you get the bolt nearly off, there's not enough clearance to get the wrench off in order to get anything else in there. My question is to anyone else who has faced this issue. How did you get it off? Also, does anyone know where I can obtain the bolt/washer combo that holds the alternator in place? I seem to have misplaced mine, but I'm hoping that if I move my car, I can find it. If not, does anyone know if those things are universal, or at least a common Audi part? If it helps (because I think I've seen something about this) my alternator has the "toothed" rail thing.

I changed the alternator on my 89 200QT and don't remember having a really hard time getting it off. Things were tight but it came out with a little wiggling.. call chris at Force Five in Concord NH and see if he can send you the bolt and washer. He deals in new and used Audi parts.
