1990 Audi 90 Hard Start
I just picked up a 1990 Audi 90 and it has some difficulty starting. The engine cranks over several times and then finally starts up if I pump the gas a bit.
If I turn the car off for only a short period of time (say under ten minutes or so) it starts right back up when I get in the car without a problem.
I am assuming it is something with the fuel delivery to the engine, but am not sure if anyone has any suggestions where to start (fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, fuel filter?)
Thanks.

Hi onelove90, had almost identical problem with mine.(1990, 90 10valve 5cyl)
After several cranks it would start, run rough & blow smoke.
Turned out to be an oxygen sensor which screws into exhaust.
Aftermarket sensors available & much cheaper than genuine. Easy to replace, instructions in repair manual. Hope I've helped.
