hey guys i drive a 92 audi 100 and sometimes when i start it all the electric stuff doesn work like when i start it the indicators lights heater ac all that stuff doesn work i hav to turn off then re start the car to get them working
any one have any ideas on this

I own a '91 90 with 350k miles and it started doing the same around 260,000 miles. The cause is worn down contacts in the ignition switch so its time for a new one. You may not have noticed but the brake lights won't work either.

I never had it fixed. It didn't occur every time we started it but we did notice that after removing the key from the heavy keyring it happened much much less often. Apparantly the weight caused the tumbler assy to rock or cant enough to misalign the contacts. Also sprayed WD40 in there. May be worth a try.
