I have an exhaust leak before my first muffler. I was thinking about removing the first muffler all together, and just putting in a straight pipe between the cat and my rear muffler. Anyone else ever do this, and if so any negative or positive results?

 

it'll sound better, thats about the only effect...

 

Yep done that on an 89 200 QT-- It gets a little loud but not too bad..

 

let me know how it goes if you do end up doing that because im debating it right now my self.
