audi 80 temp range ?
I wanna get this: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...RK%3AMEWA%3AIT
to get the true reading of the engine temperature. and adjust my understanding of my modified sensor.
also http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT
not the dash but the computer, and temp gauge.

According to Audi anything between the two marks is OK. I like to keep my car cool so I run a 80°C thermostat and 85/90°C fan switch. This puts it at the bottom of the scale.

2ez,
I replaced my thermostat for lack of heat last winter, almost no reading, after, first bold mark, 1/4 up the scale, and plenty of heat, and the fan comes on in summer to keep the engine temp in range, or at least not overheating.
I don't know if there is an ideal mark to match, if Audi says 1/4 to 3/4 is within spec.
Are you having a problem or do you just not like to see the guage go so high? Do you lose either coolant or power? If not, probably not to worry.
Cheers,
George
