Default fuel pump maybe? 1993 100cs

heres my situation.

i have a very rough idle, and reduced performance all around, especially noticeable at low rpms. accelerating up my driveway flooring it hardly breaks 10mph.

cylinders 2 and 3 both appear to be doing nothing. i can unplug the spark plug wires on 3 and nothing happens (no 'dying engine' noises), and on 2 barely anything does. ive replaced both spark plugs, fuel injectors, spark plugs wires... nothing.

so my theory is that the fuel doesnt make it all the way to the very last cylinders in the circuit (which happen to be 2 and 3!!), and thats why they arent doing anything.

ive already replaced my fuel filter, so does this sound like a bad fuel pump? i just want some back up before i yank the fuel pump out of my other audi and swap em.

thanks.

it could be a faulty ignition coils check that before assuming its the fuel line or fuel pump.

yeah, make sure you have sparks on spark plugs cyl 2-3

If you have spark, then check pression on the fuel line, if the pressure is low, then check the fuel filter, then if the fuel filter is ok(you replaced this), only then you can assume its the fuel pump

But as i told you, i suspect the coils to be bad or not giving enough power to make a spark.

well both 2 and 3 spark, so i guess it is the fuel pump then.

thanks for your help

you should verify the gas pressure before changing anything.
