HELP* 1990 Audi V8 Quattro Stuck On Safe Mode = (

Okay, I have an Audi 1990 V8 Quattro. I just bought this and I wasn't supplied with the code. I found it in the wheel well.. I started putting the code in and was confused.. on the second digit of the code.. I pressed ARI-Z and AM and now it's stuck in Safe Mode.. It has a small 2 infront of the safe.. and the guy on the 1-800 number says the two shows that I have two more chances to retype the code.. but its stuck and I can't get the code back in... ANY IDEAS?? I'M DESPERATE!!!!!
