I heard a rumor they're hard to break, but I'm looking for a reliable AWD daily driver who is preferably turbo, and happened to come across an Audi 200.

I have a 1990 200 turbo quattro stick wagon ... love it, only has 103K on it ... the only thing that sucks is the electrical system ... I don't think VW/Audi has yet to come to grips with things electrical ...
Have owned:
1975 Rabbit
1984 Audi 4000
1987 Audi 5000 <=== Intimatly aquainted with this car ...
1990 Audi 200 <=== STill have , fast, but electrical gremlins plaugue it
1995 Audi 100 <== delicate engine , prone to head gasket failure due to heat
2004 VW Passat <=== fast!

Mine is not turbo butruns strong. I have heard of10V 5-cyl going to 300K without a major overhaul. Strong block, forged pistons, crank and connecting rods. As for electrical After ten years of service ALL makes and models will have electrical problems, unless all the connectors are gold plated to Mil spec or at least 30μm, which I have yet to see even on the expensive luxury cars. The only contacts that are gold plated are on the air bag system.
