I am having trouble finding any information and companys that sell upgrading parts for the 87 4000 quattro. What I am looking for is info/parts to convert to five lug wheels, larger brakes, suspension and bushings.

Forget it, the aftermarket for these models evaporated in the 90's! You can retrofit some parts of the 5000, 200 and 100 models.

 

Bah! There's still plenty of stuff to be had. Check out www.2bennett.com www.tap1.com do a search for intended acceleration and so on. You can get anything from 330mm brake upgrades to coilovers and 20v turbo engine swaps...2bennett will even do audi v8 swaps into a 4kq. Also check out www.80tq.com this guys car flat gets it.
