My Audi 80 1.8 Petrol, B3 1990 misfires intermittently.

I have changed the spark plugs, air filter, HT leads and the coil, but still she misfires now and again.

I'd like to change the fuel filter. She's probably pretty fouled up by now.She has a carburetor not fuel injectors.

Can anyone tell me where the fuel filter is please? It's not in the engine bay or anywhere in the boot that I can see.

If you have not already done so, I'd suggest replacing the distributor cap and rotor before replacing the fuel filter. Trust me! And not some cheap aftermarket unit.

 

It's probably back under the car near the fuel tank. The fuel lines run up the right side of the car so it's probably back near the right rear wheel well.
