Default WOOHOO!

Ok...just got this car yesterday: 89 Audi 200T for $1500...

The more i read about these cars the more excited I get! Looks like an awesome car to work on!

Previously I only had worked on Fords: Mustangs, Tempo and Cavaliers/Sunfires

You'll probably agree with me....kind of silly engineering on these vehicles from the faulty ABS to cheaply made parts among other things....

OK...since I am a total newb on Audi...I need Help...

1. I am getting a factory manual....not cheap...but it's an audi...I've been told...lol
But what model should I look for? 89 200T does not seem an option for the Haynes Manual....Is there an equivalent?

2. I hope the manual tells me what the idiot lights that are on mean! (Exclamation Mark, Battery, and ABS) All on?!?!
When I press the button on the Left side dash on the console it shows: [!] - [ Water temp? ] - and Oil -

3. Engine takes a while (8 sec.) to start...I believe thats just pressure loss....something I already read about in other posts here...
I do need some clarification on HOW to test for this....since I have never done this...

4. Engine runs smoothly...so low end torque....but acceleration leaves something to be desired....

5. I'll have to check the wiring since the rear windows don't go down....after 16 years, I expect that....but does one just REPLACE the wires and if so...Does the gage matter?

6. Heater and A/C doesn't work...I heard that they both run off the same device?!?! That was the owner talking tho...took that with a grain of salt...If this has been answered for
my model...please supply the link! Thanks!

Anyways that's it for now...thanks in advance....

Philip
