hey guys. i am looking into getting the GIAC flashloader ECU upgrade for my local dealer. i know that this is the most bang for your buck upgrade for my car (2001 a4 1.8t). i had read on other forums that you also want to upgrade your diverter valve as well, b/c the stock one won't handle the increase in boost. any opinions on this? do i need to upgrade my DV as well? if so, what brand do you recommend? thanks!

 

DV is diverter valve. forge is a good one. the stock ones are know to fail. its not that they can handle the extra pressure. your waste gate is probably more inportant than you dv what does giac say the boost will be at? make sure it will run on pump gas

 

I have the Giac chip on my car ... turbo peak at 22 psi and then hold 20psi... and I upgrade the DV with a Forge Hybrid BOV/DV ... before I upgrade the DV the turbo peak at 20 psi and then was holding about 16psi ...
