I purchased a 2000 Audi A6 V8 . I had the car for 2 hours and I went to get gas from the superstore gas station. Anyways we got premium gas drove the car about 60kms then back home. Another hour went by and I forgot to do an errand so I got back into the car put it in drive and then the engine light came on then the car revved really high and it felt like something in the engine or transmission started to slip then there was loss of power. I know that when the engine light comes on the car goes into safety mode, but could this problem be from garbage gas? The reason i say this is because i got premium gas before from the same place in my previous car and the car was bogging down then I ran the gas out and put better premium in then the bogging down stopped.Could the engine light be coming on from bad gas?
