Question Need some help getting the fuel pump out of a 1995 90s. Have

Need some help getting the fuel pump out of a 1995 90s. Have gotten to point where i need to "rotate inner ring on housing 15 degrees" problem is do not have access to 3307 tool and am not 100% sure which ring is the right one. The one that seems most likely has a pair of "lobes" 60 degrees apart with one empty and the other a kick out in with a screen that goes into the lobe area. This is all mounted with isolation "pins" and one of those has come out during the process. Need to get this done. car is in middle of nowhere west texas and need to get it back on road.

So to get to specific question.
Which ring do I rotate and what is best method without 3307 tool. Need to be detailed or provide illustration other than standard one of side view/tank cut away. And what is best method for reinstalling isolation "pins" once I get pump out?

Area is inside tank. past point of flange ring removal. steps 8 and 9 in factory doc..(this is what I have been working from.) Please look at figure 26 and identify "inner part of surge housing" if you look at fig 26 this differs from what is in vehicle, in that it does not have an external ring (as indicated between arrows). If this was clock face is ring to be rotated one with tabs at about 10 o clock and 5 o clock? or further outside of this ring.

Optional Information:
Year: 1995
Model: 90s
