Unhappy Please I Need help car is laggin after install of cold air intake

Just installed a cold air intake into my 2005 a4 1.8t

car is lagging like it is not getting enough fuel when i jump on throttle any ideas on why this maybe happening do not belive that there is any leaks dont hear anything out of the ord. car did not does this before install does the ecu need time to adjust to the new amounts of air flow comming in now ? I dunno please help .......

Assuming that the cold air intake system you installed is "longer" per say as compared to the stock intake system, it could cause some lag because the travel time for the air to get to the turbocharger is longer creating more lag. It could also be the pcm, which may have the engine tuned for a range of readings from the stock intake from the mass air flow sensor and may just need time to adjust. Just my educated guess, hopefully you get her running straight again.
