Poor MPG on 3.2 Q5
Hey Guy,
I recently purchased a 2010 q5 w/ about 13,000 miles on it. From the day i drove it off the lot i noticed the MPH was really poor, to the point that on my 20 mile a day commute i can watch the fuel gauge slowly go down. I calcualted my average mph filling my tank then recording my miles for 2 days and re filling the tank to see how much gas i used. I average about 14 mpg which doesnt seem normal?
Has any one had any issues like this or any experience dealing with poor MPG. I have been fueling with BP Premium and dont drive hard. Commute to work is mostly highway, but its NJ so there are times of stop and go.
Took it to Paul Miller in parsippany and they told me everything was fine. Not the case. Cant be. Please Help!
Thanks

Definitely not right, I had a 2009 Q5 3.2 and my average was around 20MPG(in town). I started to get a CEL secondary air injection fault-could be the on slot of carbon build up on the valves. I traded it in on a 2013 Q5 2.0T Love the new Q5. For your issue I would pop the hood and make sure everything is hooked up and then try and get a VAGCOM diagnostic. If the dealer did erase codes the VAGCOM could let you see them. Hope this helps a little
