Default Weellllllll ****. Help!

Okay I have a 2004 a4 1.8t and I've had it for about a month now with no problems. People would refer to my car as the 'grandma find' because it was a single owner before me and she was an older woman who never beat on the car. So me being a 20 year old car kid I beat on it a little and the other day I was going slideways and had to avoid hitting an oncoming jeep that came out of nowhere so I skirted the other way and got my car straight, no problems, no hits, smooth sailing. BUT my airbag light came on and has been on since and that was about 3 days ago. Anyone have any idea why this happened or how to fix it? It's just annoying me.

Buy a Vagcom, or a V checker (cheaper with plenty of features) You can read the code as to what the issue is, You can erase the code, but if it shows up again then you def need to check into it. On my 1.8 the airbag code showed up and I ran the check and i got a faulty wire connection if I remember correctly, I erased it and it never came back on.
