Default What do you guys think about this deal for APR & GIAC?

I'm looking to get my 2004 A4 1.8T CVT chipped, so i looked on the APR and GIAC site for shops around me (SF,CA) and im made a few e-mails asking quotes. Below is what they e-mailed me back. What do you guys think of these offers? Thanks in adavance!

Shop 1(GIAC):
The software for the performance chip is 499.00. The labor to install is 105.00. I recommend an upgrade on the diverter valve to make it reliable. The valve is 149.00 and the labor to install is 105.00.

Shop 2 (GIAC):
The standard X chip is $495 with a $50 install 200 HP and 240 ft-lbs
The X+ chip adds $300 for fuel injectors and $50 on the install of the injectors for 215 HP and 260 ft-lbs
Then you can add $50 for the stock chip function, $100 for the race gas, and $50 for the valet function, and $50 for the anti-theft function.

Finally add $150 for the flashswitcher cable that allows you to switch between programs.

Takes under 1 hour. Call for an appt.

Shop 3 (ARP):
499 + $49.00 labor

I called my local APR and they said that my chip is $399, which it is because i have a later model then you. The installation price is about the same. About the DV instalation, i would buy a DV on your own and install it your self. That would save a lot of money!! I installed my own and I hardly know anything about my car yet, so get some instructions on the internet and do it your self. $105 to install is rediculous(can't spell)
