Default ATTN: AUDI DEALERSHIP PERSONNEL/PLEASE HELP

Hi everyone,
I am contemplating the purchase of a new '06 A4Q 2.0T and with this take advantage of the last year maintenance program and the year end lease deals. The downside is limited stock.
I work at an American auto dealership and am aware of vehicle-locating when a certain vehicle is not you own stock. The auto dealership I work for is part of a large automotive corporation which owns (2) of the local Audi dealership. I would purchase through one of these two Audi dealers closest to my home and because of the pre-established employee pricing program.
I desire an A4 with the sport suspension package. The dealership has (1) A4 with sport supension which I'm lukewarm about. I asked them to do a dealer-locate, but without saying, they seem somewhat reluctant in doing a locate. They warn me there may be some shipping charges, etc. which I may consider if I find a correctly optioned vehicle. (Seems they want me to buy their in-stock, sport suspended vehicle).
Could an Audi dealership personnel extend me the courtesy and run a dealer locate for me?...I am in the Illinois/Chicago area.
I desire a 6 speed manual, but would consider a correctly optioned Tiptronic. It must have sport supension and 17" 5 spoke double wheels. Leather is desired, but cloth would be considered, Sunroof and Premium packages as well as side air bags are desired. Desireable colors in order are: White, Ocean Blue, Red, Dakar Beige. All other colors would be considered.
In closing, it is the complete vehicle as optioned, that would be considered.. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Auto nation? You may want to try the audi website. You build your car there and they tell you where its located. Dontcha just love how salesman are too lazy to do a dealer trade to get someone in the car they want. Theyd rather put you in a car they have that is exactly what you want. Dont settle. Youll probably regret it in the long run.

dankhound,
Thanks for the reply..yes, you are correct..Autonation. I can search the Autonation dealers without a problem. It's when a non-Autonation dealer has the vehicle I want...then it seems like they (the Autonation dealer) starts to "squirm". I wanted to find a desireable vehicle on my own, tell them where I saw the vehicle and ask if they would like to dealer trade for it and make the sale.

Sometimes the car you want isn't always outthere, also in many cases theother dealer may not want
to dealer trade the car you are looking for. Ofcourse they would rather sell out of there own inventory,
but if they can't they will try to dealer trade and sometimes the other dealer won't cooperate.

Anyways as it says in your post why would you not take the exact car you want if they have it
in stock?? Why would you want them to dealer trade if they have it??? makes no sense. Maybe
you just accidentally wrote it wrong.

One last thing, If the vehicle you are looking for is not at the dealership and they do have trade for it
typically that costs the dealer money which in turn usually gets added on to the sale price of the car
unless the car is still sitting at it's port of entry.
