Dont worry bro, im an ex one too

I spent over four years doing it, coming in as some young buck who had no idea: I've seen it all mate and it aint pretty, u wonder why people have such a crap public perception of the industry?

I've seen us sell a top end car to a customer who wonted a diff color interior leather trim to the car we had in stock, so with out him knowing we (the mechs at work) ripped it out of whole trim (im talking seats, door skins, dash, carpet, head lining etc) from another diff color wagon and put it in the color car he wonted?[sm=headbang.gif]

He u go sir your car is ready with the trim u wonted, hehe

I did mention to the new car manager that the vehicle trim levels and color are not going to match the VDS (vehicle data sticker), and he is going to find this out when he trades in a year or two?[sm=bustedsign.gif]

Dont worry bout it, we will worry bout it latter!

Ok...

Oh... and dont worry i got plenty more...

I've experienced that 'option swap' situation myself. Sold trucks with either second row bench or second row bucket seats. Prospective buyers like a certain truck, but wanted a truck with the other style second row seats. New Car Manager would have the service department swap out seats between vehicles....wha la!....your truck with the seats you wanted is here...Sir!
A few years later, these trucks were being recalled for second row seat modifications. People without the recalled-style seats were coming in for repairs, while the people with the recalled-style seat are clueless. It's come to the point where you must verify every vehicle option before doing anything...

Working at dealerships will always be my favorite place to work.
Whats better than moving around cars all day, setting up car lots, basicly working with cars?

Business is business.

Yep dodgey brothers Inc, thats were u have to make up some more b/s to the customer[:'(]

I remember a salesman once took a customer for a test drive in a car i sold, was ordered from factory 3 moths earlier and customer would call every day and couldnt wait. Give him a call 'come look at u car it just got here on the truck, its covered in plastic but we will get it all off ok '. So he comes in the arvo, in the arvo other salesman takes the car for a spin with out me knowing, smashs the car up - and the my customer goes to me ' Oh i saw a brand new GM sedan in the same colour black as the one i ordered in a car smash just up the road, looked nasty too, poor bastard Hehe!" So i go look for his car so i can bring it down and show him, but cant find it? It dwaned on me then, that was his smahed car that he saw and he didnt pickit, yet! F****D! Get the other salesman on the mobile and tells me " yeah i got the car and its a bit F**K!" I got back to the customer trying to tell him this b/s story that ' Oh the truck comapny made a mistake and delivered the car to the wrong dealer and it wasnt u car!"

Rite!

If ever u are a salesman, dont drive a sold car! We all use to do it, but it will catch up with u some time soon!
