Rusnak gets a bad rap sometimes.

Maybe it's the high cost for maintenance & parts, or the horror stories of cheap detail jobs. Maybe it's because they move slow as molasses. Maybe it's just the hoity-toity attitude - after all, these guys sell Rolls and Bentleys and Maybachs [:-] They say things like "Tom Cruise was just here, putting a down payment on a Bugatti..." What do you expect?

I had no such bad experience. These guys are really first-class. They went way, way out of their way to find me exactly what I wanted, a Dolphin Grey 2007 A4 S-line Titanium. It was the only one available in the state of California, and they had to acquire it through a dealer trade, but never once did they make me feel like I was asking too much of them. Instead, they fought hard to get it for me.

They didn't even pressure me into a lease, or any shady financing offer. In fact, I pressured them into accepting my terms. They even matched my excellent financing offer from another lender, at a net loss to them.

I really appreciated their knowledgeable salesmen too, a rarity in the car sales business. These guys were Audi experts. They had in-depth knowledge of the most arcane details of every vehicle Audi sells, even ones not available in North America. They know the aftermarket/hobbyist world too. They just seemed like Audi-nuts; one guy told me he stopped selling Porsches because he likes Audis so much.

If you can put up with the upper-crust attitude, Rusnak's showroom is top notch. They have high-end Audis with exclusive trim on display, and it's a great way to get familiar with new models. They even had a demo of the new TT!

Recommended.

RE: Rusnak Audi, Pasadena CA
I too had an excellent experience with Rusnak. I purchased my TT from Volkswagen of Pasadena and it had several things wrong with it. Johnny Borja, one of their top-notch service advisors, made sure that all the warranty work needed was done on my car. During the repair of a rattle in my hatch the tech accidentally snagged the fabric on my passenger side c-pillar trim panel. Johnny ordered a replacement part, had it shipped to Ohio where I moved to and paid for an upholstery shop to install the replacement part all at Rusnack's expense.

An excellent dealership.

WORST experience ever w/ Rusnak Audi in Pasadena
I had the TERRIBLE experience of working with Dale, plus her manager, the shop foreman, and others at Rusnak and I can honestly say it was the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I've ever had with a dealer's service department!

Dale and her manager Chris failed to be of any assistance each and every time I gave them another chance to set things right with my brand new Audi (at least 6 completely separate instances, each taking at least 4 days or so, that I can remember off hand - probably more if I actually counted all of my records). They managed to screw up everything, from simply calling me when they promised they would, to actually damaging my vehicle!
- I always had to contact them several times (leaving messages and getting no calls back) each time they said they'd get in touch with me. And it's not like I was being impatient. They would tell me that they were going to call me, but I would hear nothing from them for days past the time they said they'd call, sometimes even weeks - and I'm not exaggerating any of this btw.
- They scratched my car and did not fix it (I still have to see the scratch every time I get into my car, which makes me so sad because I love my Audi, despite the terrible service experiences I've had, and continue to have to this day).
- On more than one occasion they would leave me a message saying that things were fixed and I could come pick up my car. However, once I tracked someone down (which always takes several calls and messages remember) and asked them about specific items (listed on my statement of work/estimate and on my invoice nonetheless) they would then retract their statement and say that they had to go check ... guess what? Each time the work had actually not been done ... unbelievable!

Anyway, I could go on and on, but you are probably tired of reading all my complaints by now. If you want more details, let me know, but hopefully this is enough to help prevent others from wasting their time and possibly their money and even the safety of their vehicle/selves/family/etc., by going to Rusnak Audi in Pasadena.

Avoid this service dealer at all costs!
