Terrible Service/Misleading Salesperson Audi of Brookline (MA)
I just found out the hard way that newest model 06 and 07Audi(s) now have a limited warranty as opposed to the full coverage warranty received under our previous lease. My car was leased end of Dec '06 and just found out brakes are now only covered up to 12k miles and allignments 6k miles. That's BS. There is apparently an upgrade to the warraty called "Audi Advantage" (which was never presented to us) thatis basically the former "Bumper to Bumper" warranty but at an additional cost.We also purchased a tire and wheelwarranty which they're giving us a hard time about as well. Not to mention our salesperson ordered the wrong color car and he said it would take at least another month to get the right color-so we took it because our 02' lease was up! I'm just so disatisfied with every experience at Audi of Brookline-I would NEVER recommend them to anyone! Unfortunately, I think I'm done with Audi all together-love the car but this new "limited" warranty is for the birds.
These guys shouldn't be allowed to do business anymore. The service at Brookline is the absolute worst that I have ever encountered. They give attitude, don't neccessarily do the work they claim. I had an '02 A4 that I had to drop off for emergency service and they refused a loaner even though they kept the car for 3 days! (I bought the car there!!!) When I returned to pick it up, I knew that I had been scammed as the car was still sitting exactly where I parked it. (if you know their lot, it's tiny, so it didn't move and didn't get serviced) I picked up the keys, walked outside and started it up only to find the problem still existed which confirmed they didn't touch my car!!!
On a routine service call, they disconnected my fuel line and didn't reconnect properly. I made a stop on the way home and notice gas leaking out of the rear end. Fortunately, I was able to find the disconnect while in the parking lot and reconnect it myself.
On another occasion my wife had to bring the car in for yet another emergency (the stop engine warning came on) I called the dealership and got an attitude, but convinced them to let her bring it in as she worked a block away. When she got their the service guy told her there was no way she was dropping the car off 'cause they "were busy" and there obviously couldn't be a problem ifthe car was running.I called the manager 4 times with a request that he contact me and explain their screw ups and he never once returned a call.
I will bash these guys every opportunity I get.
