Hello I am looking to buy a 2018 S5 Sportback Prestige and I found 1 I want. The price seems too good to be true so I bought a CarFax report. Everything is clean except the battery was replaced at 2,000 miles. The car currently has 2,800 miles. The original owner didn’t drive it much at all, but should I be worried that it needed a new battery when it’s that new?

 

It’s unusual but not necessarily a concern. Low-mileage cars can need a battery replacement if they sat unused for long periods or if the original battery was defective. Since the rest of the CarFax is clean, this likely isn’t a serious issue, but you may want to confirm the replacement was OEM and check any warranty coverage.
