Default Cigarette stains by driver window ... roof area

I have cigarette ash stains above my window on my 05' A8L. The fabric is very fine and rough and I'm not sure if there is even a way to get them off but if anyone knows a solution or anything that can get them off it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Clean the headliner by spraying a light mist of 303TM Cleaner & Spot RemoverTM until damp (do not soak fabric); this product may be used on all water safe materials. The cleaning action increases with warm water, agitation and longer dwell time.

Smoke and ash stains can be troublesome. but Togwt has given you the right process.

I would

dry vac the spot thoroughly
the mist my towel with the cleaner.
gently brush across the affected area, being sure not to rub.
If i still had residue remaining, I would creat a damp area on my towel with my cleaner and hold it against the spot for 30seconds to one min,
after that i would brush the area with the damp portion of the towel.

Keep in mind ash has alot of different issue in it, It does not respond well to just one type of cleaner. There are also specific ash/smoke detergents made for restoration companies. If you live in a large urban area you might be able to order some from their suppliers.

address a spot like this with in this order.
neutral detergents,
mild alkaline detergents
mild acidic detergents
